NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 2023
Hello Again,
The leaves are changing, soon it will be a wonderful splash of colour here and there. I tell my Canadian Family that we can rival them in the fall but they of course have more trees! I am a self confessed tree lover and hate to see them cut down! We haven’t got any trees at the Club but we do have loads of tubs and baskets that Nik looks after! Gold Star for Nik and of course he has become an accomplished line painter too.
News From the Committee.
I will start with our sad news….our wonderful ALAN PRINCE is leaving us!!!!! When he first came to the Club, he was so quiet, gradually he came out of his shell. He was promoted to Assistant Bar Manager and has been one of the hardest and most competent members of staff that we have had. I know Gary will miss having his sidekick around. He will be leaving on Saturday 11th November to take up another position within the hospitality spectrum. Vicky will be wandering around with a large card if you would like to sign it!! If you don’t see her just ask a member of the Bar Staff (except Al of course). So on behalf of the Committee we wish Alan all the very best in his new interesting position.
A gentle reminder…….Members can sign in 2 Guests at a time.
Those Guests can only be signed in twice in a month.
Members are responsible for their Guests and when they leave
the Club their Guests must leave with them. Charge of £2.00
And Another…………..Non Members are not permitted to park in the Club Car Park.
The Cattle Market Car Park is free after 6pm.
Finally A BIG, BIG THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN TO ROSEMARY FOR HER CREATIVITY IN DECORATING THE CHURCHILL ROOM aided of course by her equally talented husband Pete, and Eileen.
THE DEFIBRILLATOR….Is now installed on a wall in the Market Bar.

There is a Notice Board which is by the Main Door on it you will find details of everything that goes on in the Club….you never know you might find something that you would like to take part in.
Bowls
The Bowls Presentation Diner Dance is on Saturday 11th November.
The AGM is on 17th November.
The Skittles Evening is on Friday 1st December along with other Club Members.
Bingo
Sunday’s at 7pm with Chick and a Raffle organised by Lin.
Monday’s at 2pm with Norman and Dave.
QUIZ NIGHT
November’s Quiz will be on Wednesday 8th November at 8pm in the Lounge Bar.
Thank you to Sue Hume, who will now take over the Quiz every month!
Otelli’s Kitchen.
Look out for their News on their Notice Board!! Lots of lovely food!

I have to start with saying Thank You to all of you who turn out in the truly awful weather to our Halloween Ball. Thank’s also to Mike and Fiona…you nailed it again.
The Jay’s were great and that is not just my opinion…..so they will be back. For those who dressed up….Thank you for making the effort!!

we invited them back)
Sunday 17th December…………………THE CHILDREN’S PARTY (details later)
Saturday 23 December…………………Dave Howes…(becoming a favourite and has
stepped in after 2Shae split up)
