JUNE NEWSLETTER 2025
Hello Everyone,
I can hardly believe that the longest day is almost here and we all know what follows that!! I’m afraid this is going to be a very short Newsletter. Nothing much from the Committee, apart for the usual requests regarding parking! Quotes are still being requested from firms regarding the installation of a disabled toilet and the refurbishment of the ladies and gents toilets. We will get there!!
Bowls
News from Colin. The Bowls Big Bash event went very well. It was well supported both days and we now have seven new “Bowlers” as a result!
Club members are always welcome to come along on a Monday evening and have a go. 5.00pm onwards. Our Ladies are now playing in the “S&D” League on Thursday afternoons again. We have a full season of Competitions ahead as well.
Summer Draw
Don’t forget to get your tickets for the Summer Draw. So make sure you put 28th June in your diary and come along and enjoy a B.B.Q. and maybe win a few prizes!
Bingo is still on Mondays and Sundays
Quiz night with Sue is the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
Entertainment
Thank you to all of you who came along to our V.E. Day Celebrations. I had a lot of positive comments regarding the Girls. So they will be back later in the year, covering music from the past decades. Our big tribute night will be Abba’s Angels which will be for our Summer Ball. Coming up is Totally Elton and a tribute to Tom Jones and Neil Diamond.
