NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 2025
The start of the the dismal season….. cold, damp and dark. When us Oldies have to drag ourselves out for an evenings entertainment. On the positive side, after December the nights will get shorter day by day. Not a lot of news from the Committee or anyone else!
Committee News.
We have a start date of Monday 10th November for the Build of the Disabled toilet. Ladies Loo upstairs to be used while renovations in place.
We are going to have a trial period for a pool table, to be situated in the bottom half of the Churchill Room.
£700 has been donated to The Alzheimer’s Society (Race Night £571, Collection Tin £75 and donation from Crib Tournament £51)
Bowls.
Our Bowls Presentation Dinner is on Saturday 8th November and our AGM on Friday 14th November. Our next Skittles Evening is not until January.
Entertainment.
In negotiations for a Drag and Bingo act (suggested by Carol Asher)!
Also a Murder Mystery Evening in March, and a Comedy Night. Elvis will be returning to the Building next year. For Fans of The Jays, they will be here for Valentines Night.
Entertainment for November will be displayed in the Club ASAP. Apologies!!
Reflections Duo will be returning to entertain you on our Members Christmas Party and Davante will be here for New Years Eve.
I hate having to remind Members of various rules but, parking is strictly for Members with Parking Permits. Only for use when you are actually in the Club!!! Guests have to be signed in and paid for. Only two visits a month and when you leave the Club your Guests must leave as well.
That’s all, short and to the point.
