December 2025 Newsletter
Here we are in the last month of the year. It seems to have been an eventful year that has flown by. The Club has seen some changes, lost and gained some members and staff. Gary has stepped up to the job of Steward and is popular with our Members. Donna has been brilliant as Bar Manager. Chris Ralph, well what can we say except he has been outstanding with his maintenance of the Club. Our Management Committee Members have worked so hard this year, so much so that we have gone ahead with the disabled toilet and the renovations of the Ladies and Gents toilets are in progress. We have an old building, which of course needs a lot of TLC, which means money. So I do hope you will continue to support us in the coming year. Any offer of help is always appreciated, there are numerous jobs that we have to cover. So if you want to help in any way, please let us know!
News from the Committee
Unfortunately, Otelli's Kitchen is closed during December. It is too early to say when it will re-open. All bookings have been cancelled, and Chick has managed to speak to everyone concerned.
Christmas Day
The Bar will be open from 12 to 3pm.
Club Christmas Party
Members are welcome to bring a guest and children are welcome. However Children are not allowed on the Dance Floor after 9pm
New Years Eve
Members are welcome to bring a guest and children are welcome.
However Children are not allowed on the Dance Floor after 9pm.
As with other years, please feel free to bring your own nibbles.
A gentle reminder regarding children! They are the parents’ responsibility at all times. The Stage is strictly off limits.
We ask Members to get their New Years Eve Tickets from the Bar. There will be no cost, but we need to know how many Members will be attending, due to number restrictions. Please show your tickets at the door on the night.
Toilets
The disabled toilet is almost finished and will be available to use very soon. It will be unlocked and available for less abled Members to use without the need to ask the Bar Staff for a key. The Gents toilet will be out of action for 4 weeks in February and Gentlemen will have to use the upstairs toilet unless of course you are disabled!! More details on the Ladies toilet refurbishment will be provided in January.
Pool Table
The Committee have discussed the feasibility of having a Pool Table in the Club. It has been decided that at this point in time we will not have one.
Membership Renewal
Members can renew their Membership by presenting their cards to the Bar Staff and paying the £30.00 fee.
Entertainment
5th December……..Charity Quiz ………..In Aid of Alzheimer’s
20th December……..Reflections Duo……Club Christmas Party
31st December……..Davante………………New Years Eve Party
Please check on the TV screens or board for all other events and any changes.
So on behalf of the Staff and Committee, all that is left is to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
