SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER 2026
Welcome to Autumn! Although the leaves in my garden have been brown and falling for sometime. I’m miss the blue skies already! I’m what you call a middle of the road person!
Pretty boring and I am sure I am not alone. We like the weather warm but not in the 30’s. The rain overnight and the winters short. I digress….
NEWS FROM THE COMMITEE.
Now that we have our Chef, we will revert back to the rule of
NO FOOD TO BE BROUGHT INTO THE CLUB AND CONSUMED
The only exception is on New Years Eve.
GUESTS
The Guest Book is not being filled out correctly. Please remember it is up to you as Members to do this not the Bar Staff. Names, addresses MUST be filled in fully.
COMMENTS
Please if you see anything that needs reporting, either tell the Bar Staff or put it in writing and pop it in the box on the table in the Lounge Bar. Please remember to add your name and number. Constructive criticism only!!
BOWLS
The Bowls season is almost over. Dave will give me all the results and News in time for the October Newsletter. Keep an eye on the TV screens for any other News.
ENTERTAINMENT
The Pocket Rockers on Friday were brilliant, and the Club was crowded. For those of you who missed them, they will be returning!
We have had several suggestions regarding events, some require a lot of input which is fine if you have Members who are happy to arrange them. So for the moment it has to be Music on a Saturday when the Churchill Room isn’t booked out
and occasionally on a Friday. Skittles when the Young Family are free. Quiz Nights (Sue Hume does one every month), Race night and Quizzes, Chick does when he has time.
I’m Tribute hunting at the moment! Top of my list is ‘Dolly. Just hope I get it right for you!
So now for what is coming…….
Saturday 19th September………The Covergirls
Saturday 10th October…………Band and Bugles (Morning)
Saturday 17th October…………’Elvis’ will be in the building
Saturday 31st October…………Halloween with The Jay’s
Saturday 21st November………Phoenix
Friday 4th December………TBC
Saturday 19th December………Christmas Party with Davante
New Years Eve……………………The Jay’s
Can’t think of anything else. I apologies for anything I have missed. Oh! Happy Birthday to our Secretary… Chick. Nearly forgot ….It’s nice to see our Chairman and Treasurer back on their feet after their knee ops.
